New for 2020: a section dedicated entirely to food.
International films, shorts and debates about the act of cooking, the relationship between food and its origins, and even the connection between architecture and food.
One of the new features this year was a selection of international films and shorts about the act of cooking, the relationship between food and its origins, and even the connection between architecture and food. The films that really stood out included, Bread: An Everyday Miracle by Harald Friedl, Y en cada lenteja un dios by Miguel Ángel Jiménez, Fuel by Yu Araki and Under. Lindesnes, Norway by Anders Husa & Kaitlin Orr. They were introduced by the True to Food™ video manifesto by Signature Kitchen Suite: a clip presenting the brand philosophy of passion and respect for food and the entire chain of production and supply.
Manuela Ricci, marketing manager at Signature Kitchen Suite, took part in the debate CIBO DEL FUTURO – Il Pane: produzione artigianale vs produzione industriale (FOOD OF THE FUTURE – Bread: artisan vs industrial production, presented by Stefano Maffei, Professor at the School of Design at the Politecnico di Milano university and MDFF 2020 Food Curator and by Silvia Robertazzi, MDFF Cofounder and Curator. Alongside Manuela were Gianluca Biscalchin, gastronomy journalist and illustrator, and Davide Longoni, a baker from the Panificio Davide Longoni bakery.
